Meet Your Administrators
Dear Families,
On behalf of the staff at Shirley & Bill Wallin Elementary School, we are happy to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year! We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.
We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring they:
1) Attend class daily
2) Read daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
3) Inform you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject
4) Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school to be career or college ready
It is very important that you and your child are fully informed regarding standards related to appropriate behavior for a safe and productive school year. Please feel free to review the student Parent Handbook which can be accessed on our website. We feel privileged to be a part of this school family. We thank you for your support and look forward to meeting you. We truly have a dream team with our staff, students, and parents. We realize you have been, and will continue to be, your child’s primary teacher. Thus, it is our purpose to partner with you in providing the best education possible for your child.

What do you love about Wallin Elementary?
I love the amazing community. I am surrounded by a community that supports our focus of empowering student learning. As a former teacher and parent at Wallin, I was most proud of our homogeneous grouping and PTA involvement. As an administrator, I am proud of the community involvement and the passion to support our students in learning with the amazing systems that were established.
Describe your job.
I have the best job in the world. I wear many hats as the principal. Kindergarten knows me as the lunch lady and crossing guard! My favorite hat to wear is that of a supporter. I am and will be your biggest cheerleader!
Tell us about your family.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart and best friend for 26 years. Lance & I were blessed with two amazing children who have grown to be our best friends. Bethany attends Nevada State College and is pursuing Business & Photography. She is currently a wedding photographer. Seth attends UNLV and is pursuing Kinesiology. He is currently in sales.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I love Canyoneering! Canyoneering is the exploration of a canyon which includes hiking, climbing, and rappelling. My family and I are in canyons almost every weekend September through May. I love being outside!
